There is no easy surgery.  Why would anyone advocate for less training to perform eye surgery, arguably our most precious sense.  Is that the person that you want to operate on your or your loved ones eyes?  Rather, it is best to have a surgeon that is trained and can recognize and handle the complications.  Please insist on in-person training for optometrists to perform laser eye surgery on Virginians.
