Optometrists simply do NOT have the training that it takes to perform lasers on patients. The amount of mismanagement referred to ophthalmologists is inexcusable. Opening this door further is a recipe for disaster. Vote no in the interest of the public. The excuse to expand access to care is by no means an excuse to allow untrained people to perform lasers.
