Laser procedures are safe with minimal adverse effects that can be easily managed by ODs. Wouldn’t you rather have a doctor who practiced on model eyes until they were comfortable with the technique to perform your simple laser procedure, as opposed to a new resident doctor who is using you as their human practice rounds before getting comfortable?
