I believe that it is imperative that proposed regulations be supported to increase access to Laser therapies all across the state, but especially in rural areas where health care is limited. Twelve other states have already adopted in-office laser procedures by optometrists, without incident. In addition, the current draft of regulations was developed with input from both optometry and ophthalmology and should be approved as presented.
