As a member of the American Optometric Association's Board of Trustees, I fully support the draft regulations, as presented without any changes. Doctors of Optometry are fully educated, trained, and certified to perform the procedures outlined. The procedures were developed with input from both optometrists AND ophthalmologists. Therefore, I urge the board to support the regulations as presented.
