Many people can say they have been hunting early on with hounds in life. For me, I’ve been using the aid of dogs for my 5th summer. We try to contact land owners before the dogs even get close to a property, then we go to their door and kindly ask if we can cross hounds on. 9/10 they say yes and tell us how thankful they are we asked for permission vs just running on their property. We respect the land and the game we are chasing. There are times we cannot control where the game runs but we try our BEST and we always take full accountability for our hounds. My son is 4 years old and has grew up doing nothing but hunting with aid of hounds and it would be a shame to take that away from anyone. This generation needs hounds on the ground it needs to continue to grow for many years to come.
