This ban only helps pharmaceutical companies make more money and takes away the rights of the indivi

I want to use kratom and I should have the right to whether as a recreational drug or as a therapeutic; if that's what I say my experience is. There is no evidence out there to say it is any more harmful then tylenol and it is clearly much less harmful then oxy contin. I had leukemia as a teenager which resulted in having both right and left shoulders and right and left hips replaced. Last time I went to the doctor I was diagnosed with severe arthritis in my spine. I also work 40+ hours a week and recieve no government assistance, so I am a contributor to this country's financial health. I know kratom has helped to keep my pain tolerable and I know that people have been taking it for more then 15 years in America without adverse health effects. Trying to ban it just takes away people's rights and gives them less options, when there has been research done and that research says that kratom is a very reasonable option for people. Banning kratom is simply about trying to control people and more so about controlling where the money goes. Using kratom is a choice that has no consequences on other people, therefore this ban is horribly unethical.
