Please keep kratom legal as it is a plant that helps many people with their pain and to stay off of opiates.  How many times is the FDA going to try to ban this plant?  Back in 2016 they tried to schedule it as a schedule 1 with the DEA, the DEA did not schedule kratom.  Then in 2022 the FDA asked the World Health Organization to ban this plant.  How much tax dollars need to be spent before everyone will realize that this natural plant saves lives.  

I was involved in a very bad car accident 6 years ago.  Left me with permanent pain.  Watched a friend of mine die from opiates, so I did not take the opiates that my doctor prescribe me.  Thank God, I found kratom.  Kratom allows me to live a full life.  It does not take the pain away forever, but it gives me relief for about 4 hours.

Just because some people have abused kratom you should not make it illegal for law-abiding citizens from taking kratom, leaving them only to rely on opiates.
