Please do not ban Kratom.  That would be a horrible move and it would punish people who do not deserve to be punished.  The only reason I know why people use Kratom is because people are doing their best to maintain their health and live with painful day to day conditions, and the medical route has either been ineffective, cost prohibitive, or it has flat out failed patients because the treatment often becomes far more dangerous than the conditions.  Would you be able to actually be proud of yourselves by persecuting upstanding citizens who are merely in pain?  Because that’s the only effect a ban would have besides creating a black market that would introduce dangerous adulterated kratom, and it would make opioids like fentanyl more prevalent in your community.  I do understand that you are probably appealing to FDA propaganda, which make no mistake is embarrassingly incorrect regarding the science of Kratom and look a little further and you’ll see they have lost scientific credibility on many issues for decades.  With Kratom, the FDA is doing that once more.  They have been soundly disproven in the face of other government agencies as well as the World Health Organization regarding Kratom.  As well as operating in complete un-transparency.   I know you can be better to your people than that.
