We have been on the shore of the Chesapeake for over a decade. We used to have multiple eagle and osprey nests on our property and along our beach. Now we have one of each left. Pods of dolphins used to pass at least once a day. In the last three years alone we see one a week, maybe two. And when the menhaden boats come fish in front of our home we don’t see dolphin or schools of bait fish for at least four to six weeks. To add insult to injury, this is being done by a foreign company that is taking our country’s resources and exporting the profits. The Chesapeake Bay is a finite body of water and it is indefensible to be using the method Omega uses to pillage our waters in such a way. Especially when it puts pressure on the average waterman who are using traditional methods to catch baitfish.
