Menhaden populations continue to decline and Virginia continues to allow overfishing. Virginia continues to allow this fishing to be conducted in the bay, which is doing significant harm. Not calling for this fishery to end, just regulated so they cannot scoop up all the menhaden as they enter the bay, leaving it fruitless.
