Pharmacists often work consecutive 12-hour shifts without breaks, and work extra hours before work or after work leading to unpaid extra hours to finish work and there is severe understaffing which is a factor to this. Emergency regulations are always disregarded by corporate companies like CVS, Walgreens, Wegman, Giant Food, Stop and Shop, Harris Teeter, Rite Aid. I urge the Board of Pharmacy to enact legislation to protect pharmacists and address these critical issues in their working conditions.
