Being a resident of Florida that spends a significant amount of time on the Chesapeake Bay, I am deeply concerned about the health of the Chesapeake Bay.  If the current trends continue we and our grandchildren will not have a Chesapeake Bay to enjoy.  I have always strived to leave things better for the next generation and we must focus on this petition as one step in that improvement.  The stripers and craps populations are declining and the improper use of vertical nets only makes these matters worse.  We can not afford to kill the bycatch by the improper use of these nets.  Please do the right thing and pass this petition.
