Seine Nets usually deployed in water 40’ or less deep

As an active recreational fisherman, it is clear to me that Omega Protein frequently operates in waters 40 feet or less in depth. It’s also clear that, fishing in these areas is disrupted for days after Omega has fished an area. Some areas in particular are the Cabbage patch, near the Kiptopeke ships, and in the relatively shallow waters inshore of the area between buoy 36a and 38a. Mandating the Omega only operates in waters greater than 60 foot depth would be a huge benefit to the Chesapeake Bay ecosystem.
