I’ve been fishing the lower bay for the last 50 years. I’ve seen good and bad years,  JT the last several years have been poor. It’s my belief that seine nets that drag the bottom of the bay are destroying habitats, destroying many of our fisheries and destroying the bait fish that striped bass depend on to continue their existence. The menhaden fleet needs to be managed by fishery organizations, not the general assembly whose opinions can be swayed by paid lobbyists. 
Allowing a Texas based company to ruin our fishery for the sake of cat food and various oils seems criminal to me.
