Looking at only the impact of the Menhaden harvests harm to aquatic life makes very little sense. While Menhaden are at the lower end of the food chain for other fish there are also Dolphins and various bird species that rely on them also. A small listing of the bird species we have had here follows- Bald Eagles - Osprey - Brown Pelicans - Black Back Gulls - Laughing Gulls - Sea Gulls.
