Menhaden

The Entire East Coast ecosystem is affected by Menhaden, there is NO reason that there can’t be something out in place to protect these fish, especially in the Chesapeake Bay Area. There should be ZERO netting of Menhaden in the Bay going forward. It is clear that they are being overfished and the impacts are being felt not just in Virginia but all over the Eastern coastline. From Birds to Whales, these very important wildlife food source is crucial to the health of many parts of the ocean. Please do something to help protect these fish if it’s not too late at this point. Thank you!
