I am commenting on behalf of my lodge and its 273 members,
The organization is required to donate 40% of the gaming proceeds to other charitable, religious, education or community organizations. This is excessive. Our lodge currently donates about 20% of gaming proceeds and if required to do 40%, we would no longer be sustainable. Additionally, with the remaining percentage, we should be able to pay reasonable gaming expenses to include salaries. We are required to have a gaming manager on site when the games are being operated, but current regulations don’t allow us to pay for this necessary expense. If we are relegated to 10-22% after the UOP, our lodge will not be able to survive.
