I serve as the Commander, AMVETS Post 18 located in Stephens City, VA. Our Post serves Military, Veterans and their Families living and working in the Northern Shenandoah Valley with matters important to their wellbeing. We also provide a social quarters which provides comradery in a safe environment. I am writing on behalf of our 160 Veteran members, 65 Ladies Auxiliary, 45 Sons of AMVETS, and 20 AMVETS Legendary Riders. This is our family. Our Post provides a safe haven for our Family. We rent our space from a landlord for $2500 each month. We are fearful that taking away or impeding the important income stream realized from gaming will severely cripple our Post as we will not be able to make financial ends meet and may be forced to shutter our space.
We respectfully request the Commission to consider the following requests:
Thank you for your consideration of our request. I remain,
Sincerely, Ralph Hensley, Commander
