Charitable Gaming changes

The proposed changes to the charitable gaming rules are going to have a very negative impact on many of the fraternal lodges in the state. By raising the required contributions to 40% from the current 10% and disallowing use of gaming funds to assist in paying sustainment bills you are effectively stating that you wish many of the smaller to medium size lodges to shut down. This will reduce the amount of contributions to the communities and create additional hardships on the organizations we support with these contributions. Please reconsider the proposed changes since the impact will be much more far reaching than just the local lodges and charitable organizations within the state, it will also have an effect on the local organizations that provide assistance to our first responders and other needy persons as well.
