Election Regulations

Although I do not vote by absentee ballot, my oldest brother does.  Since his handwriting is not always that clear, I wonder at the notion that an unclear signature can discount someone's vote.  I remember when we had to pay a poll tax in Virginia to vote and it was terribly unfair to voters who were poor and could not pay.  Slowly but surely we came out of the 'dark ages' and all folk, no matter what, gained not only the right to vote, but the ability to do so.  This seems to be an unfairly regressive regulation brought about to try to stop certain people from voting, or at least to cancel their vote if they do vote.  I hope that this Commonwealth and this country will stop running on fear and return to a thoughtful and inclusive way of conducting business.
