There is currently no evidence whatsoever that there has been widespread fraud in the absentee voting process. This proposal is thus, a solution in search of a problem.
Furtrher, the proposed changes to absentee voting rules will increase the burden of voting and reduce the number of votes that are counted. Currently, voter turnout rates in the Commonwealth are already low, and there is no justification for making it harder for citizens to have their votes counted. I urge you not to change current rules on absentee voting in the commonwealth of Virginia.
