When God created the family unit, he made a father and a mother for a special purpose.  Each has a special role, where the father is the head of the household, and the mother (in most cases) is the caregiver and nurturer. To take away from that and to say that to have two parents of the same gender is a good thing, is not only wrong but I believe confusing for young children. How are they supposed to understand those fundamental roles, if they are not portrayed in the right way. I believe that adoption agencies, even Christian/faith based agencies should be able to stand on those principles and ideals for the sake of future generations of families.
