I urge the Virginia Department of Social Services to oppose the proposed language of 22 VAC 40-131-170, which would force faith-based adoption service providers to choose between violating their religious beliefs regarding marriage and family life or being forced out of providing adoption services.

If this legislation is passed, the ensuing reduction of adoption services by faith-based organizations will surely not be remotely matched by placement of children into same-sex households and will result, most likely, in an increased number of aborted children.
