The proposed rules prohibit agencies from discriminating based on race, color, gender, national origin, age, religion, political beliefs, sexual orientation, disability and family status. I think that this is terrific.  Anyone who would rather discriminate against someone on the basis of any of those factors then place a child in a loving home should get out of the adoption and foster care placement business.
