opposition to Reg 22 VAC 40-131-170 (B)

We are writing to implore the Virginia Department of Social Services to reject the notion that opening adoption rights to homosexuals is good for children.  Common sense and countless social science studies show that children are best served (physically, socially, emotionally and spiritually) when raised by a mother and a father ~ in a TRUE family as designed and defined by God.  Natural law and God's law both reveal that homosexuals are not physically capable of producing offspring.  The term "homosexual parents" is an oxymoron!  In other words, allowing them to be "parents" is an anomaly that will yield unintended confusion and consequences beyond imagination!

Inquiring minds want to know, "Where exactly do you get your authority to amend Virginia's discrimination statues?"  The idea that a state agency is "doing what is right in its own eyes" and attempting to enact far-reaching ideas that adversely affect children and society at large is unwise and dangerous!  Is it not your duty to protect and defend children and families from a man-made cultural mandate ~ one that is far from God's original, intended purpose?

In light of the abhorrent suggestion that VDSS has the power and authority to unilaterally determine what is best for children, we ask you to consider that the BEST course of action for children waiting to be placed in families is to make it easier for true families (one mother, one father, and their children) to adopt!  We, for the record, have lots of love and wisdom to give and share and will welcome a child into our home!

We urge you today to seek God's wisdom, not man's knowledge!  For "God's thoughts are not man's thoughts, neither are man's ways God's ways."  Consider making Virginia's adoption laws easier for willing and able families.  Spare us from the forthcoming disaster of unleashing a monster called homosexual adoption in our great Commonwealth!  All kids deserve the BEST!
