I am gravely concerned over the proposal put forth by the Va Dept. of Social Services and its implications for Catholic Charities and its adoption services.  If the proposal is passed, Catholic Charities will no longer be able to serve the Catholic community and women who come to them for pregnancy counseling.  Virginia needs the assistance that Catholic Charities offers regarding adoptions throughout the state and imposing regulations that directly contradict its moral structure will eliminate its ability to serve women and the state.  Please do not accept the proposal in its current form particularly regarding sexual orientation &/or family status!
