This clearly violates freedom of religion. It isn't just sexual orientation, but marriage and faith. Catholic Charities should be able to require adoptive couples to be married and practicing faith -- even if not Catholic faith.
Both of these elements are statiscially proven as important ingredients for the mental and physical health of a child. In adoptive services, it is the welfare of the child we are concerned with, not alleged rights of individual expression of an adult. A baby is not a commercial product sold for the vanity of a consumer!
