The passage of these standards will cause Catholic charities and other organizations to close their aboption services, if they are based on sexual orientation as a defining characteristic of parenting.  These standards will strike at the very consciences of those who will not compromise the faith and mission of the Catholic Church, despite the passing, cultural trends of the day.

Please do not impose this agenda, which will only serve to prevent children from being a part of families who wish to adopt.  This assault on the family will not serve these children, but only continue to add to the brokeness they suffer.
