My wife and I were foster parents for Catholic Charities for over 7 years. The newborn babies that we loved before they were adopted were carefully placed in homes of couples that had participated in a detailed screening to insure that the couples were capable of givning the babies the love, financial support, spiritual direction needed to give them the tools for life.  Having the ability to screen potential parents is critical in this process.  Please do not change the current regulations.
