Trans rights are human rights. I stand in solidarity with every Trans individual and the LGBTQ+ community. It is time we stop policing other individuals' bodies and eradicate the stigmas and hate culture that is prevalent in today's society. Education and open dialogues in safe spaces is key to protecting human rights over personal wishes. This isn't about political ideologies or religious theologies that have gone awry, but rather human beings. We must remove the hate rhetoric that spreads toxic words, ideas, viewpoints and only serves to harm Trans individuals. Fear and bullying should not be a cause to persecute anyone or strip any individual of their rights, nor should it be used to target Trans individuals. We must evolve, not step backwards out of antiquated ways that have shown to be nothing, but harmful and self-serving. Trans individuals deserve to have their rights upheld. They deserve to live in peace without the fear of threats and judgment. The Constitution is not meant for just the few, but all. A body belonging to someone else is more regulated by the government and church than guns built to kill and I am pro regulated 2A. Parents do not choose the gender of a child, nor do they decide the traits that make a person who they are and they do not have the right to hold another human hostage to their whims and wants. I've seen countless hate from the same parents on social media sites and mainstream media outlets targeting and ostracizing the few with vile memes and words. It's time to be adults whether we fully understand or need more education on human equality. We should be looking out for all children and embracing their beautiful qualities as a society in a safe, welcoming and protected environment.
