I currently work in the propane industry and there are a lot of misconceptions about the product. Propane is not just for gas grills. It can be used for backup power, heating, cooking, hot water, autogas, etc. Propane is very environmentally friendly and one of the cleanest fuels available. It is made in America, is affordable, and is one of the most efficient forms of energy available. The propane industry provides 1,600 jobs in the state of Virginia. It should not be overlooked and should be included in Virginia's energy mix.
