Using the term "sexually explicit content" as a catch-all for anything that anyone may find personally offensive, including simply having a book that includes an LGBTQ character, and using that as a cudgel with which to deny students' right to learn about others' and/or their own lived experience is WRONG.  Stop trying to erase other people's existence, an existence which does nothing to harm children and instead adds to their developing knowledge and empathy.
