Dr. Benjamin Rush taught that the purpose of public schools is to teach students to love and serve God, their country, and their families. Dr. Benjamin Rush was a signer of the Declaration of Independence, served under three Presidents, helped found five universities and colleges, is titled “The Father of American Medicine,” led both the abolition and prison reform movements, and founded American Sunday Schools and the nation’s first Bible Society.
Reference Matthew 22:36-39, New King James Version: “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?” Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’
In the 18th and 19th centuries and through the 1930s, civic responsibility in America was tied to a commonwealth viewpoint. From voluntary fire departments to the public arts to the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) of the 1930s and 1940s, citizens participated in projects that shaped communities and ultimately the nation. Due to civic responsibility, citizenship was understood in terms of the labors of ordinary people who created goods and undertook projects to benefit the public, as opposed to the high-minded, virtuous and leisure activities of gentlemen. This kind of civic identify helped create an important balance between pursuit of individual wealth and the creation of public things.
Until the 1960s, it was common for American high school students to have three separate courses in civics and government. But civics offerings were removed as the curriculum narrowed to “core subjects” under the No Child Left Behind era standardized testing regime.
Parents are responsible for governing their children and sex education, not the schools. Return to the basics, the main subject's that were taught during the 1930's included reading, writing, math, science, and home economics. Phonics curriculum was used to help children learn the sounds of each letter by associating it with the word that starts with that sound. Phonics skills grow through reading activities, and students learn to distinguish between vowels and consonants and understand letter combinations such as blends and digraphs.
Tim Ballard was trained by the C.I.A. and now runs Operation Underground Railroad, one of the largest anti-trafficking organizations in the world. Tim combats child exploitation head-on, but as a father of nine, he encourages all parents to understand what makes a predator and how to protect their children.
Ballard states…”Their teaching first graders this material, teaching pre-puberty children sex education. If an adult is talking about sex and showing diagrams and pictures it is illegal to do it. But all of a sudden if a teacher does it now we are going to call it legal and healthy. And having them question their gender by showing them pornographic images, the inconsistency of what is going on here is teaching our kids it is okay to do this. It is okay to be sexualized. Making our kids completely vulnerable, desensitizing people, the boys to become pedophiles or sex addicts or dysfunctional husbands and teaching the girls to promote it by being sexual. The kids will be destroyed and we will have more victims and more predators. It is our kids that will become the victims and predators. Thanks to the indoctrination of what is going on in some many schools and continuing to grow.” Reference video https://www.prageru.com/video/tim-ballard-fighting-sex-trafficking-americas-children-are-at-risk
