VA Dept of Ed's Sexually Explicit Model Policies

As an ES librarian and the parent of a public school student I strongly oppose the VA Dept of Ed's Sexually Explicit Model Policies. Schools need to be inclusive & safe places where all students are seen and heard.  Inaccurately labeling  books and content as sexually explicit because someone disagrees with it is harmful and dishonest. Schools need to be a place of facts and science and not a place where  certain religious beliefs are put upon all students.
