Strongly Oppose

I live in Virginia, and I am strongly opposed to the censorship of age-appropriate materials that are educational. The policy as stated would restrict access to valuable works based on the vague “sexually explicit content” description. Students need to have literature available to help them develop empathy for others and an understanding of themselves. Do not let Virginia become a state that is bound by religion and/ or bigotry in the education of our children. For these reasons, I am strongly opposed to SB 656.
