STRONGLY OPPOSE

I am a Virginia resident and a parent of a Virginia public school student and I strongly oppose these model policies. These policies are wrong and dangerous. School must be a safe place for our children, and policies like these ensure that they cannot be. Every person deserves to have themselves represented in school curriculums and students also deserve the opportunity to learn about and understand all people and communities, especially those different from their own. These policies will set Virginia back, and will harm our students - especially those students who are most vulnerable. I strongly oppose this effort.
