I strongly support the proposed guidance document. It is rational and gives parents the right to review instructional content provided by public schools, Children should not be exposed to content that includes graphic sex acts, or material that is so objectionable that a school board would not want the parents to know about it. Note that this policy does not ban content, but does correctly give parents the ability and right to object to teaching which violates religious and/or personal belief. Schools and parents can work together to raise a child. Thus allowing parental consent for such materials is totally appropriate. I strongly support the proposed policy change.
