LGBTQ+ content does NOT equal pornography! Everyone deserves to see themselves represented in books and literature. Reading fiction that features diverse characters including those who are not cis-het develops empathy in readers. Empathy helps readers to understand experiences of others and can normalize acceptance of those who are different from ourselves. A small minority of angry, prejudiced complainers should not determine what is or is not available for all readers to choose from.
