Let teachers do their jobs! They are professionals in managing the content they teach and the classroom they supervise. This proposal is an underhanded attempt to hurt and undermine LGBTQ+ and minority students. I am a substitute teacher in Fairfax County and have taught in dozens and dozens of classrooms in the past year while always following the teacher-provided lesson plans. Grooming is NOT a part of that lesson plan! In addition, censorship has no place in our school libraries. There are appropriate committees and mechanisms in place if a parent objects to a title on a school library shelf. There should be a book for each person though every book is not for every person. Common sense!
