Those of us with beloved family members who are gay or lesbian worry about their acceptance as parents, students or teachers. Would my nephew and his husband, who moved to new jobs and homes to find the best school for their autistic, adopted son, have to keep it secret that he has two fathers? Would my daughter-in-law, a recently retired teacher, have to pretend she is married to a man instead of to my daughter? Please do not construe identifying yourself as a person who is lesbian or gay, a person who simply loves someone of the same sex, sexual "grooming." It is not; it is simply being honest about one part of one's identity.
