This will only hurt our students development into open mined intelligent adults

Public education allows our children to explore and understand ideas different from theirs. Take for example, evolution. Regardless of whether or not I believe in it, I want my children to learn about it so they can understand where people who do believe in it are coming from. Learning about ideas and being able to understand other ideas is such a critical thing in life because it creates people who are tolerant and respectful to those different from them. Something we desperately need in our great, but struggling, nation. I hope that my fellow christians will understand that how important it is to teach our children our own values at home, and allow them to learn different values at school so they are able to explore and accept people different from them.

Please don't deprive our children of the ability to learn about different perspectives.

If you still disagree, you can send your child to a private school or homeschool them yourself, but please policymakers, lets leave education up to the proffessionals.
