Let’s Say Gay!

Why is homosexuality/general queerness defined as sexually explicit? Simply acknowledging that not everyone is heterosexual or cisgender does not equal exposing anyone to sexual material. Denying the presence of these queer identities will not benefit our schools and communities, rather it will only erase actual people and perpetuate hate towards others who are deemed to be “outside” the sphere of normality.
