SAY NO TO DOE

Categorizing who I love and relationships I form with people as “sexually explicit” content is an insult to me and all LGBTQ+ individuals. It is absolutely saddening that in this day and age, efforts are still taken to erase my representation in school, making me and the hundreds of LGBTQ+ youth feel confused and alienated. I demand that explicit guidelines be in place, stating that homosexuality, just like heterosexuality, is not sexually explicit in nature. I need to see different in the VDOE. I no longer feel safe knowing guidelines like this have been expected into my school and across all other Virginia schools.
