Model Policies Concerning Instructional Materials with Sexually Explicit Content

I support these model policies.  I believe there is no place for sexually explicit  materials in schools, especially at the elementary level.  It is the job of parents to educate their children about these subjects.

Please make sure that there are certain specific actions that every school must take in order to make sure sexually explicit materials are correctly identified and seen by parents BEFORE children are exposed to them.  Unless minimum standards and practices are expressly mandated and set forth, school districts will find a way to circumvent them.
