As a queer person, the sexual aspect of having a queer identity is such a small part of the entire experience. We owe so much of what we know to queer figures in the past. We can learn so much about showing up for your community, viewing things through different perspectives, and how to truly care and see one another. There are countless examples of queer and trans folks making revolutionary discoveries and creating changes that we now get to reap the benefits of. 

On another note: If you are in favor of small government, you should also want to keep it out of our classrooms.
