Guidance Document Change: The guidance document "Model Policies Concerning Instructional Materials with Sexually Explicit Content" was developed in conjunction with stakeholders in order to comply with SB656 (2022).
I oppose this policy as unnecessary and backward-thinking. Sensible policies already exist regarding sexually explicit materials. This policy gives local school boards permission to impose their fundamentalist religious views on the public schools.
