These policies have been rushed, are flawed, and will harm public education and our students. No. Please do not do implement this policy. 

Amazingly, this policy is both duplicative (i.e., there are processes already in place to deal with explicit content) AND overreaching (e.g., it makes homosexual content of any sort "sexually explicit" based on Virginia code). It will create a mess for teachers who will need to water down their curriculum to satisfy the loudest few who will find fault with EVERYTHING, OR it will create an excessive burden on teachers who need to create parallel curriculums to satisfy those same loudest few. Ironically, the "loudest few" may not even have kids in our public schools, which means that these policies affect all of our children and will severely restrict their libraries and curricula for political purposes.
