I strongly oppose Virginia SB 656. This has nothing to do with sexually explicit content, and everything to do with intolerance. It is intended to marginalize people and ban GREAT and highly-regarded books and content that some parents find objectionable because of the LGBTQ+ characters and themes.

Parents - your children are interacting with these subjects and materials already. Don't you want a qualified teacher to provide guardrails and factual material to help them navigate? Don't you want your children to be tolerant and see many perspectives?
