Strongly Oppose

Good evening,

I am the parent of a transgender student in a Virginia public school and I strongly oppose this policy.

This is a sad and transparent effort to eliminate LGBTQ+ representation in our schools, classrooms, and curricula.

Whether you like it or not, queer people exist. There are queer students in our classes. Their existence is not "sexually explicit." Books and other materials are not "sexually explicit" just because they have queer characters.

Governor Youngkin wants to make Virginia like Florida with its "Don't Say Gay" law, but we should not allow him to force his narrow minded, hateful agenda on our public schools and our children.
